Yes. There is no risk to either mom or baby and the procedure is painless. We strictly adhere to FDA standards.
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Women seeking an elective prenatal ultrasound must already be receiving treatment with a healthcare provider for prenatal care and may only rely on a medical, diagnostic ultrasound ordered by their provider to confirm their due date, screen for fetal anomalies, and to look for any other pregnancy related issues.
That depends on what you want to see. Many mothers like coming in more than once. Early on you can see baby as a whole, later on your baby develops more fat and gets a more defined face.
At 14 weeks we can determine the gender with a very high accuracy. If you are over 14 weeks and the gender cannot be seen, we invite you back for a return appointment and we will rescan you for free within the next 14 days. The need for a return visit is usually due to the baby’s position.
Depending on the package that you select your session will last between 10 and 30 minutes. However, plan on spending 30 minutes to an hour at our studio so we can send you home with memories to last a life time. Please arrive a few minutes early to fill out our paperwork.
In most cases, yes. However, variables such as the amount and clarity of amniotic fluid, position of your baby and maternal build, overall fetal environment when the procedure is conducted, etc., can limit our abilities. We will capture the absolute best image possible. If we are unable to capture your baby’s face during your visit, you can come back for another visit free of charge and we will take another peak (within 14 days).
Yes. We encourage you to bring family and friends to share this special moment with you. Children are also welcome. We can comfortably seat 6-7 plus mom but more are welcome if they are willing to crowd in. The ultrasound image is shown on a 50 inch flat screen monitor so everyone will see the images easily.
